One Year and One Semester Program in Group

Russian or Ukrainian Program for 1 (half of academic year) or 2 semesters (one academic year)


Brief Description

The aim of those introductory programs is to prepare students for the education in Ukrainian, Russian or CIS Universities or Institutes and give the vast base of Russian or Ukrainian language to communicate freely. We use the traditional and modern methodic of education of Russian and Ukrainian.

Schedule for the program of one academic year

First stage. 1 - 2 months. Introduction to Russian or Ukrainian.
Phonetics, grammar, vocabulary, learning to read and listen in Russian or Ukrainian, etc.

Second stage. 3 – 5 months. Russian or Ukrainian on the basis of information about the country.
Phonetics, grammar, vocabulary, texts about history, culture, traditions, modern life, geography of Ukraine and Kyiv, etc.

Third stage. 6 – 10 months. Russian or Ukrainian on the basis of the specialization of students including topics of economics, mathematics, geography, etc.
Phonetics, grammar, vocabulary, texts using the specific subjects of economics, mathematics, geography, etc.

Directions of specialization in Russian or Ukrainian

Engineering and Mechanics, Engineering and Economy, Medicine, Biology, Health Protection, Social Sciences. Students learn Russian or Ukrainian deeply and receive lots of special terminology in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Computing, Literature and Geography during the education. After the final examination students receive the certificate due to the state and international standards.

Usual schedule - 6 lessons (40 minutes each) x 5 days per week in the first semester and 6 lessons (40 minutes each) x 3 days per week in the second semester.

Also you may have individually special subjects for additional payment. 100 lessons of Ukrainian or Russian language as an addition to your main language can be provided as a free bonus on your demand.

Start of the classes

One academic year (two semesters) program

Arrival and start of the classes from September 1, 2009 till January 1, 2010.

Or if coming together with a group of at least 5 students – any date of the year except for state holidays.

Half of academic year (one semester) program

Arrival to the University and start of the classes from September 1, 2009 till January 1, 2010.

Or if you like you may join an existing group on any date during a year except for state holidays. To catch the group up you may need to order additional few weeks of individual classes depending on your current language knowledge.

Documents to be provided before starting the program

- Special invitation letter issued by our School due to the standards of the Ukrainian Ministry of Education to receive a student’s visa to Ukraine in your country. (issued after the complete prepayment of the program)

- Original of the Secondary School Certificate or notary testified copy in Ukrainian or Russian

- Passport

- Latest health certificate, certificate on AIDS test and fluorography (not later than 2 month before starting of the classes)

- Air ticket to your country back with an open date

- 16 photos (size 4 x 6 cm)

Accommodation

If choosing this program you may order the accommodation in the student’s dormitory with shared by 2 or 3 students’ rooms with furniture - Euro 450 per year per student.

The price is the same for 1 semester.

Insurance

Euro 150 per year per student.

Issuing of the letter of invitation and registration within local state bodies

This service costs Euro 80. The letter is sent after the complete prepayment of the student and signing the agreement with the School.

d. we will send you a signed agreement and letter of invitation to you by post to apply for Ukrainian visa,

e. after receiving a visa you should collect the appropriate documents for application and come to School in the discussed with you dates to start classes.
