Is it safe to visit Ukraine to learn Ukrainian language and Russian?
Visiting Kyiv is safe enough. There were no terrorist acts in Ukraine to the date. Ukrainian people are one of the most democracy oriented and friendly ones. Even such an event like a revolution (‘Orange Revolution’ in 2004) has passed without human losses. That could be considered as a really positive feature. Single-entry, double-entry or multi-entry visa?
At the moment visitor from USA and EU may come to Ukraine without obtaining visa to learn Ukrainian language and Russian. As for other countries in general we encourage visitors to consider applying for a "double-entry" visa since the cost is not much more than a single-entry visa and leaves open the possibility of a second trip during the year. Visitors who expect to come back to Ukraine in a subsequent year should apply for a multi-entry visa.
Are there standing rules at the ECHO Eastern Europe Language School?
It stands to reason that students are supposed to follow regulations of the school and attend lessons. Only in this case one can talk about successful learning. Keeping in mind, however, that exception proves the rule, we suggest diverse syllabuses to meet the demands of our students.
There is no dress code - use your own discretion in this respect. But mind, please: because of variety of excursion programs, walking shoes can really stand you in good stead!
